The two of them were working for dunnhumby when they saw an opportunity to transform the shopper media industry. With just £1000 between them and set up in Matt’s bedroom for an office, they launched Capture.
We have had a few homes since then, growing from a team of two to over sixty people across multiple locations. We’ve broken ground with both retailers and brands to build co-marketing campaigns that create tangible commercial value. We are Capture and our mission is to transform shopper media.
As co-founder of Capture, it’s inspiring to see everyone’s commitment to our vision to transform the category, empowering brands to justify their choices and grow their investment in retailers and channels that work for them. I’m proud to have watched the company grow exponentially since 2008. We wanted to offer something that simply didn’t exist – and today Capture are the experts in planning, buying, implementing and evaluating shopper media campaigns for FMCG brands.
As Group Client Director, I lead the Capture client team; ensuring we always deliver great service and maintain great relationships with clients. I love the variety; both in the clients and the ever-changing landscape. Many a proud moments stem from having watched the business grow from 3 to almost 100. It has been an incredible journey and was made so poignant at the last away day, listening to all the teams’ achievements in a buzzing room.
As Client Director, I look after Capture’s largest group of clients, which includes some of our long-established clients such as Kerry Foods, as well as some of our newer clients like Danone. Doing something that is genuinely market changing is exciting. It means that every day is challenging yet incredibly rewarding. No time for clock watching! If I’m known for one thing in the office, it’s my love for including builds in Power Point presentations – you can’t beat them.
As a Senior Media Partnership Manager, I head up the team that looks after our relationships with retailer agencies and media owners, ensuring that we are up to speed on any changes to the shopper media landscape, on the look-out for any new media channels and managing through our clients’ bookings as efficiently as possible. I love that I feel constantly challenged in my role and I have a fantastic team who also love what they do – and we all have a lot of fun doing it!
As Planning Director, I lead the Planning Team in leveraging data and strategic insight to create effective communication and media plans that resonate with shoppers, enabling change in behaviour and driving action. I love the diversity of our client portfolio and applying strategic to solve diverse challenges across multiple, distinct categories. I’m proud to have built the foundation for a strong Planning Team that matches Capture’s ambitious plans for growth.
As Creative Director, I oversee all creative jobs that come into the studio, from the moment when the brief is on our radar until they are signed off by clients. Our team loves to push to see Big Ideas ‘happen’ through carefully crafted, moving and inspired executions – if the creative is right, ideas can become tangible reality in very little time. As creatives, we must think on our feet and be decisive about everything we do and, in the end, there’s nothing like knowing that the client is happy.
I’m an Insight Manager – on my team we evaluate the effectiveness of our shopper campaigns using a test vs control methodology, through our partnership with IRI. We glean insight from the data so that we constantly improve our service to our clients by applying these learnings to future campaigns. I love that I get to work with so many different clients, and that my internal clients are fabulous, energetic and enthusiastic and always striving to improve their ways of working.
